What costs Bipartisanship?

Mr. President… I beg of you! It’s past time to take the gloves off when dealing with these repugnicans. They mock you… They conspire against you… They undermine you… They openly work for your demise. They publicly castigate you personally and have established secretive and duplicitous front organizations to finance them. What more do you need to see or hear? Your penchant for “building bipartisan bridges”, is costing Americans dearly. Financially, emotionally, and morally, we as a country in the grips of economic bankrupcy, are suffering while they remain completely indignant. As a party, I can’t recall ANY major reform or viable solution these repugs have brought to the table vis-a-vis major issues. Every bill or legislation proposed or put forth from Democrats to mitigate problems or address critical issues, brings yet another sensational antagonistic and belligerent affront from the repugs. These are clearly engineered as propaganda and repugnican spin, talking points, or strategy. Your administration is seen as exceedingly conciliatory. One that mollifies legislation/bills to such an extent that they morph into completely unrecognizable gibberish, and resemble nothing of the original. In many ways, these reconciled bills end up being a give away to special interests, lobbyists, or corporate megaliths, and jeopardize the original intent. We’re needing leadership! We’re needing someone who’ll come out swinging a goddamned bat at the SOBs. If not you, then unleash a pit bull like Rahm Emanuel! Americans, even more than politicians, love a good fight and recognize “David” from the “Goliath”.
